Counselling and ARTs TherapY
London, Colchester, Online, Telephone
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and an HCPC registered Dramatherapist. I have over 25 years’ experience providing therapy and supporting people through emotional difficulties, life transitions, loss, and questions of identity and belonging.
I offer a confidential and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. A space where you can speak freely, feel heard without judgement, where you can explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive environment and can begin to reconnect with yourself.
You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself. You may have spent much of your life supporting others, while your own needs and feelings have remained in the background. Perhaps you have felt different, on the edges, or unsure of where you belong. Over time, this can lead to a sense of disconnection, self-doubt, or uncertainty about who you are and what you need.
I work relationally and collaboratively, recognising that each person’s experience is unique. Our work together can help you to understand yourself more deeply, develop greater self-acceptance, and clarify your needs, boundaries, and direction.
My approach is grounded in counselling and psychotherapy. I also have specialist dramatherapy training in creative therapeutic approaches, which can offer additional ways to explore feelings and experiences where helpful. There is no expectation to work creatively, we will work in the way that feels most comfortable for you.
I have particular experience in supporting people who:
feel different, or have felt on the edges of things
struggle with self-doubt, identity, or belonging
have experienced loss or bereavement
are going through life transitions or changes
feel disconnected from themselves or their needs
find it difficult to express their feelings
have spent much of their lives supporting others
are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves
Therapy can help you to reconnect with yourself, understand your feelings more clearly, and develop a stronger sense of who you are. It can offer you a space to explore your experiences, process the past, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. If you are used to being the one who supports others, therapy can be a space where you are supported. A space where you can be heard, understood, and accepted.
I am based in both London and Colchester, although I only have availability for online and telephone sessions at present. You are welcome to contact me to arrange a free 20-minute initial consultation, where we can discuss what you are looking for and whether working together feels right for you.
